Over the river and threw the wood to grandmothers house we go I sang with my nieces on the drive to my mother in-laws. Long day at work know off to my mother in-laws to surprise her with a sleep over party I love my new family. But really we were off to the woods. She lives at the end of a dirt road at in a log cabin. Instead of Dinner with my baby we decided to drive to his mothers and drink and play games with her. As we drive deeper into the woods it gets darker and darker and quieter and quieter. Finally the truck reaches its destination the engine shut off and the lights went out. We are here they yelled in excitement while shivers filled my body. With trees all around my pillow in hand I hike to the front door. Crunch the leaves under my feet. The air whistled thru the trees. All the sudden a creature appears from the darkness. The girls ran inside screaming and squealing I stayed to see what this creature was. Just before the creature stepped into the light the door flung open. My name came out of the mouth of the shadow standing at the door. And the creature its self stared into my eyes. As if he was plead for his survival. The squirrel was as afraid as I
was.

pulled up to the house. One foot in the door and disappointed already. Walls all dented, and holes in the floor. Every cabinet rood ripped off and stuff all in the sink. Is there animals living in this house or people this I am not sure. Walk thru the double doors to see the walls covered with egg cartons and paint splashed all over. Someone trashed this place and not by accident completely on purpose. We all looked at each other with no desire to go on. We all looked at the stairs. I said why the pictures always better then the reality are. This stairs in picture were beautiful but the reality if so hideous. We walked up the stairs to find liquor bottles all around. This is not the house maybe we will find one Monday. Never give up but never get your hopes up. My advice for a house buyers are doing not look at the pictures because they are never what they seem. Come with lots of hand sanitizer and a camera. The camera will help capture the amazing things and the unbelievable things. Each house will have a piece or a room you like but never all of them perfect. Perfection only comes in a house you create. Do not walk in with the hopes of falling in love because love is only within your eyes not the previous owner.
